03. Design

The essence of interior design will always be about people and how they live. It is about the realities of what makes for an attractive, civilized, meaningful environment, not about fashion or what's in or what's out. This is not an easy job. Be faithful to your own taste, because nothing you really like is ever out of style.

The exterior space is impressive with dining and seating areas on the main deck dahabiya and the bridge deck. However, the highlight is the truly massive upper deck with stunning arched overhead ceilings and 360 degree views. The area begs to be both a place to entertain and to relax.

04. Decor

The African Queen boasts 10 spacious cabins on a 45 meter vessel. 8 cabins have either a double bed or 2 twin beds, all with plenty of cupboard space and double windows to watch the landscape go by. The windows have shutters if you prefer a darker room and they all open up to enjoy the gentle breeze as you sail along. For your comfort each window is also fitted with a mosquito screen. Each cabin has its own large bathroom with all the modern amenities including power showers and lots of fluffy towels - Egyptian cotton of course, perfect when returning from the desert exploration and wanting to freshen up.
The African Queen also features 2 suite cabins, situated at the rear of the vessel, with their own private verandahs. These are festooned with colourful traditional floor cushions perfect for enjoying a nightcap or laying back and gazing up at the stars. Unpolluted by city lights, the sky shows a million stars to delight the eye and inspire the soul.
The deck of this matchless boat has plenty of soft comfortable seating, decorated with an African theme, in both an area shaded with a canvas canopy and at the front of the boat where you can enjoy the sun. There are plenty of rattan chairs and deck chairs available on the deck on which to relax whilst admiring the beauties of Egypt and its abundant wildlife as it silently glides by.
